Wiesław Wałkuski, renowned poster artist, graphic designer and painter, was born in 1956 in Białystok. He graduated in painting and graphic design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (he graduated in 1981, in the studios of T. Pągowska and M. Urbaniec). Since the 1980s, he has created projects, illustrations and posters for publishing houses, theater and cinema. Since the late 1990s, he has been recognized as an independent artist.
